Lady Dolphins Capture Lone Star Sport Club Conference Spring 2026 Championship

KINGWOOD, Texas — The Alvin College Lady Dolphins closed out the Spring 2026 season the only way champions do — battling through pressure, responding with resilience, and finishing the job.

Alvin College competed in the Lone Star Sport Club Conference Championship Tournament on Saturday, April 25, 2026, where the Lady Dolphins opened tournament play against University of Houston-Downtown. Alvin came out strong and took care of business, defeating UHD in three straight sets to advance to the championship match against Lone Star College-Houston North.

In the championship match, Alvin College and LSC-Houston North delivered a five-set battle worthy of the title. Houston North edged out the Lady Dolphins in the opening set, 25-23, but Alvin quickly responded with a dominant 25-18 win in Set 2. The Lady Dolphins continued to push forward in Set 3, earning a hard-fought 25-22 victory to take control of the match.

Houston North answered back in Set 4, taking the set 25-19 and forcing a deciding fifth set. With the championship on the line, Alvin College stayed composed, locked in, and finished strong. The Lady Dolphins claimed the tiebreaker set 15-10 to secure the championship victory.

With the win over LSC-Houston North, Alvin College clinched first place in the Lone Star Sport Club Conference Spring 2026 season, officially earning the title of Spring 2026 Conference Champions.

The championship finish also brought individual recognition for Alvin College. Darrah Rooth was announced to the All-Tournament Team for her strong performance throughout tournament play, while Gracie Williams was named the Most Valuable Player after helping lead the Lady Dolphins to the conference title.

The Spring 2026 season will be remembered as a milestone year for Alvin College Club Volleyball — a season built on discipline, teamwork, competitive toughness, and the standard of competing with purpose.
