Alvarado Player of the Week
Alvin College Softball proudly recognizes Madi Alvarado as this week's Player of the Week for her outstanding performances in the circle against Galveston College.
Alvarado played a key role in securing the series, delivering strong and composed pitching in both games.
In Game 1, she came in relief and shut the door, throwing 2.0 scoreless innings without allowing a hit, while giving up just one walk. Her effort helped stabilize the game and preserve Alvin's lead.
In Game 2, Alvarado earned the start and delivered a dominant outing, pitching 5.1 innings, allowing only 3 hits and 2 runs, while maintaining control throughout the game. Her ability to keep hitters off balance and limit scoring opportunities was crucial in Alvin's 6–2 victory.
Across the two games, Alvarado totaled 7.1 innings pitched, allowing just 3 hits and 2 runs, showcasing her consistency, composure, and reliability in the circle.
