2026 Dolphin Baseball First Team All Conference
Sophomore relief pitcher Shane Jessen from Houston earned First Team All-Conference honors after delivering an outstanding season on the mound. Jessen appeared in 17 games and recorded six saves while posting a strong 2.95 ERA over 36.2 innings pitched.
He finished the season with 41 strikeouts and limited opponents throughout the year with his consistency and composure in late-game situations. Jessen also earned one win on the season and proved to be one of the team's most reliable bullpen arms, providing key performances in conference play and high-pressure moments.
Freshman designated hitter Jackson Castillo made an immediate impact this season, earning First Team All-Conference honors after delivering a strong offensive performance throughout the year. The Houston, Texas native appeared in 53 games with 51 starts, finishing with a .315 batting average while collecting 53 hits in 168 at-bats.
Castillo showcased his power at the plate with 13 doubles, five home runs, and 39 RBIs, compiling an impressive .482 slugging percentage and .426 on-base percentage. His disciplined approach was equally valuable, drawing 32 walks while consistently producing in key situations for the offense.
Defensively, Castillo recorded a .974 fielding percentage with 142 putouts, continuing to provide reliability on both sides of the game. His breakout freshman campaign established him as one of the conference's top hitters and a key contributor to the program's success.
