Sophie Brammer Makes 1st Team All-Conference in Utility Role
ACC Softball's Sophie Brammer has been named to the All-Conference First Team in the Utility spot. The Freshman from Richmond Foster had a great first season with ACC, helping lead the team to the regional tournament with both her pitching and batting. Brammer lead the team in Innings Pitched (106), Pitching Wins (11), Strikeouts (88), and Batting Average (.410). Brammer's notable pitching performances this season include a complete game shutout against Monroe where she struck out 12 batters, and tossing six innings of shutout ball in a playoff clinching victory over Lamar-Port Arthur. As a batter, Brammer had a three hit game against San Jac, Lamar-Port Arthur, Coastal Bend and Trinity Valley. "Soph has made an impact since the day she got to ACC. She works extremely hard to improve herself and has handled making adjustments for the college level very well. She's a deserving kid who givs us a chance to compete each time she's on the mound." said ACC Pitching Coach Alyssa Tjaden when asked about Sophie Brammer. ACC Softball and Sophie Brammer are looking to have a strong showing in the Regional Tournament starting on Saturday, with their first game slated to be against #10 Trinity Valley.
